ASELSI is in the process of putting the entire first level of our Bible training classes online. Currently we have six of the classes recorded and more on the schedule. The goal is to complete recording the two-year program by the end of 2021. We have a variety of talented teachers involved in this project that will help us provide Bible training wherever people have access to the internet as well as the live classes we continue to provide in rural areas. As more classes come online, we are seeing students responding and loving to study the Word of God.

This week, we are encouraging you to pray for pastors like those in Guatemala. The stress and strain of these times take a lot of work that can wear down pastors who are reaching out to their neighborhoods and teaching their flock. Please join us in praying for pastors who are serving and encouraging so many others to be refreshed, encouraged and empowered by the Lord.

People are thirsty for God's Word so ASELSI continues equipping and teaching not only in Guatemala but in Cuba, Venezuela, the USA, and Mexico. On a recent visit to Chiapas, Mexico, Emanuel visited the 25 students who are part of a ministry called Water Mission that is helping provide water for thirsty communities and God's Word for thirsty hearts. Check out the video above to see how you can help us pray as God opens doors to training and equipping more thirsty hearts.

In the Chichicastenango region there are over 140,000 people. On the edge of town is the small public health clinic that serves all who come whether it is for a vaccination, COVID testing, stitches, or even the birth of a baby. The medical staff who serve in this clinic keep serving the community but that doesn't mean it's easy for them. After working with the health center on a recent activity, we opened up ASELSI to provide a encouraging lunch and time for them to be refreshed. Please pray for these health workers and check out the video above to see more about this!

For over a year ASELSI hasn't hosted teams due to COVID-19 limitations, but things are opening up and we hosted our first team from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. They were amazing! Watch the video above to see more about how this team helped equip, care for and educate our team and the people of Chichicastenango.
