ASELSI's Vision

ASELSI’s vision is to have Bible-equipped, indigenous pastors leading healthy churches that embody in word and deed the good news of Jesus Christ to their culture, compassionately serving the practical, physical and spiritual needs of “the least of these” in their community and beyond.

ASELSI's Mission

ASELSI’s Mission pursues a two-fold mission tailored to the unique needs of Mayan and other indigenous cultures in Latin America.

ASELSI’s outreach ministries embody Jesus Christ to indigenous cultures by bringing health to the local community and beyond, and by actively caring for the physical, material and spiritual needs of “the least of these.” We use volunteer teams and resources and partner with local churches in ways that empower indigenous believers and indigenous churches and increase their capacity for ministry.

ASELSI provides interdenominational Bible education and ministry leadership training tailored to the unique needs of indigenous, rural pastors. With ASELSI outreach ministries as a model and training ground, students, pastors, ministry leaders and missionaries gain the vision and practical skills to lead indigenous churches in embodying Christ to their culture, through gospel-infused service to the physical, material and spiritual needs of “the least of these.”
