A Special Morning at Ovejitas de Jesús
We shared a very special morning with the children, mothers, and staff of Ovejitas de Jesús. We had a civic ceremony as part of Guatemala’s independence celebrations, along with time to connect, play, laugh, and enjoy being together as a community.
Pastor Matthew Hunt: Sharing About Grace
During the Mentors of Grace seminar, Pastor Matthew Hunt shared teachings about God’s grace and how we can live it out and extend it to those around us. It was a meaningful time of teaching, conversation, and growth for the ASELSI team.
Teams Serving in Guatemala
Over the past month, we welcomed three missionary teams from the United States who served alongside ASELSI in different areas. They worked on construction and painting projects, helped a family in the community, and supported the ministry through mentoring and encouragement for the ASELSI staff.
Serving in San Juan Cotzal
Our optometry program visited San Juan Cotzal, Quiché, where we provided care to more than 140 patients. During the outreach, we conducted eye exams, identified cases of pterygium and cataracts, and provided 85 pairs of glasses, while referring patients who needed specialized care.
Bellefield Church: Serving Through Medical Care
The medical team from Bellefield Church visited us last month, and together we were able to care for around 200 patients through general consultations and dental care. They also brought medications that will help our clinic continue serving the community.
Over 500 People Served Through Optometry
From May to July, our optometry program provided vision care to more than 500 people through outreach clinics in communities and schools. We visited places such as Chulumal, Patzún, Zona Reina and Sacapulas, bringing quality eye care closer to children, youth, and adults.
Serving at the Chicua Clinic
Our Chicua Clinic provides primary medical care to the community twice a month, working alongside the local church. Through consultations, ultrasounds, and other services, we have the opportunity to care for families and share the hope of Jesus.
Bringing Eye Care to the Communities
Our eye care team traveled to Carizal, Cubulco, Baja Verapaz, and Canijá to provide eye care. They performed 166 eye exams, provided 114 pairs of glasses, and identified patients who needed follow-up care and surgery.
Licenciada Zurisarai: Nutritional Evaluation in the Milk Program
During her visit to the Milk Program, Licenciada Zurisarai evaluated 42 patients and provided follow-up to help determine the appropriate nutritional support for each one. We also celebrated six patients who successfully completed their process and graduated from the program.
UIW Group: Serving in Guatemala
We welcomed a UIW group of students and doctors who spent five days providing eye exams and glasses to people in communities around Chichicastenango. It was a meaningful opportunity to serve together and connect with the communities in Guatemala.
Pastoral Care Cabins Project
A place created to care for those who care for others. The Pastoral Care Cabins Project seeks to provide pastors, ministers, and leaders with a place to rest, receive counseling, and fellowship with others.
Nathaniel Lucero: Follow-Up and Evaluation at CAF
During his visit, physical therapist Nathaniel Lucero evaluated 22 patients in the CAF Program and followed up on each patient’s progress. These evaluations help ensure that patients continue receiving the appropriate therapy according to their needs.
Serving Together with the MEC Team
We were honored to work alongside the MEC Missouri Eye Consultants team during their visit to Guatemala. Together, we provided eye care, glasses, and surgeries, blessing more than 100 people through the eye care clinic and over 35 people through surgical care.
Blessing Others Through the Optometry Program
Through our optometry program, we had the opportunity to provide care to 133 people with vision problems and bless each of them with a pair of glasses. We are grateful to help improve their vision and quality of life.

Classes at EBA Central are about to begin! With 19 new students enrolled, we are excited about what God will do in this new season. The teachers are ready to welcome them, and we trust that God will be faithful throughout 2025. Thank you for your prayers and support.

Because of the loving care of team members from Glory House Int’l Ministries, a family in Chichicastenango now has a beautiful house to call their home. Thank you for helping us bring hope to families in need so they can know the message of Jesus.
